PS I Love You Day is brought to you by the South Ocean Middle School Wellness Club. PS I Love You is all about raising awareness on the negative impacts that bullying and depression can have throughout a community. From February 10th- 14th the students of our Patchogue Community asks all our local businesses to get involved by displaying something purple in their store fronts, whether it be a ribbon, a flag, etc., to help spread the word and show that we all stand together, as a united community.
Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death amongst adolescents and it is crucial to show how important mental health is, which is why our students goal is to help send a message to everyone within our community to show that we all care.
We hope you all will consider participating and displaying something purple to support suicide prevention; we are also selling purple shirts if your business is interested in purchasing any please contact Shannon Maloney, the Health Educator at South Ocean Middle School at 631-355-2232 or on Instagram @so.oceanwellness
