Christmas came a little early to Patchogue this year!
On July 29, the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce brought the magic of the holiday season into the middle of summer with its Christmas in July Fundraiser, benefiting this year’s It’s a Wonderful Life in Patchogue celebration.
Hosted and generously sponsored by Blue Point Brewery, the event brought the community together for an afternoon filled with live entertainment, creativity, family fun, and plenty of Christmas cheer, all while raising support for one of Patchogue’s beloved annual holiday traditions.
A Little Christmas Magic in the Middle of Summer
Guests were treated to live Christmas music from Funkin’ A, setting the soundtrack for an afternoon that felt a whole lot more like December than July.
The talented performers of Black Box Traveling Theatre joined the festivities with live performances that brought holiday entertainment to visitors of all ages. Families also had an opportunity to get creative at a holiday cookie decorating station presented by The Baking Coach, which quickly became a favorite activity among both children and adults.
Patchogue’s local arts community was also represented throughout the afternoon with live painting demonstrations by artists Francesca Finno and Angie Rose, generously sponsored by the Patchogue Arts Council.
And, of course, you can’t have Christmas without Santa! Thanks to the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Santa Claus made a special summertime appearance accompanied by plenty of cookies, giving families a chance to experience a little extra holiday magic.
Introducing Our 2026 Grand Marshal
The afternoon also included a special announcement as Ken Dobbins was named the 2026 Grand Marshal of It’s a Wonderful Life in Patchogue.
Ken played an instrumental role in helping bring the celebration to life several years ago by bringing together the actors who would go on to perform throughout restaurants and retail businesses in downtown Patchogue as part of the Chamber’s fundraising production. His contributions helped shape the tradition into the community celebration it has become, making his selection as this year’s Grand Marshal especially meaningful.
Thank You to Our Community
The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce extends a special thank you to Blue Point Brewery for sponsoring and hosting the event and to Blums for once again generously supporting this special community fundraiser.
We are equally grateful to the performers, artists, organizations, volunteers, sponsors, and every community member who joined us. Events like Christmas in July are made possible by people and businesses coming together to support the traditions that make Patchogue such a special place.
Save the Date for It’s a Wonderful Life in Patchogue
Christmas in July may be over, but the real holiday celebration is still to come!
🎄 It’s a Wonderful Life in Patchogue returns December 12 & 13, 2026.
The two-day festival brings the spirit of the holidays to downtown Patchogue while continuing a tradition built around community, local businesses, and the story that inspired this special annual celebration.
Mark your calendars, gather your family and friends, and join us in Patchogue this December as we celebrate another year of It’s a Wonderful Life in Patchogue.
“We can’t wait to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with you!”
