Veterans Day 2019

This Monday, November 11, is Veteran’s Day, a time when we should all give thanks to our Men & Women who have served in our Armed Forces.

​In recognition, there are two ceremonies we invite everyone to attend in remembrance of our Veterans.

F​irst, our Greater Patchogue Foundation will be dedicating new headstones for Civil War Veterans buried at our historic Lakeview Cemeteries on Saturday, November 9 at 11am. These will replace the original headstones that are currently missing or damaged for these veterans. This was made possible by the efforts of local resident Lynn Davis and our Foundation’s Cemetery Restoration Task Force.

Next, as always, our local Veteran’s Organizations will be holding a Ceremony in honor of Veteran’s Day on Monday, November 11, beginning at 10:30am, at the Four Corners (intersection of Main Street & Ocean Avenue.)
