Since the dawn of the scientific revolution artists have adapted new technologies to create art. Now in the digital age artists have harnessed computer technologies as a means towards their creative goals. For some digital technologies function as tools to enhance traditional painting and sculpting techniques; for others the new technologies have created completely new forms of art. Join us at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Long Island for look at how technology has transformed art. New Tech runs from November 6 – December 19, 2021. The artist reception will be November 6th, 6-8pm at MOCA LI. Coffee with the Curator, John Cino will be on November 13th at 11am on Zoom and Facebook Live.
The exhibit will run during regular museum hours. Thursday & Fridays: 2pm – 7pm and Saturday & Sunday: 1pm – 5pm.
