The committees of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, Inc. are staffed 100 percent by volunteers. The work we do is a visible display of the commitment we have to the ongoing revitalization of Patchogue. To join one of the Chamber’s committees, please contact us.

ALIVE AFTER FIVE COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSON: James Skidmore (Toast Coffeehouse) Alive After Five® is the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce’s Thursday night summer event. Its main purpose is to promote Patchogue and showcase our many restaurants and businesses by offering vendor space to our members, as well as potential members. We offer six stages featuring local bands (from jazz to rock ‘n’ roll), outdoor and indoor dining at our restaurants, information booths and theme events. Visit the website for more details.

ANNUAL INSTALLATION DINNER COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSONS: Lari Fiala (The Colony Shop) and Karen King (Tall Tree Floral Designs of Patchogue) The Annual Installation Dinner Committee is responsible for the planning and coordination of installing our new slate of officers and executive directors. Each year, the Committee decides on a theme and nominates an honoree for the dinner, as well as the J.P. Spirit Award, which is given to an individual who exemplifies commitment, service and spirit to the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce. This is the night we formally welcome in new members and board members, giving recognition to those who have dedicated their time and service to the Chamber.

BENEFITS COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSON: Neil Weingarten (Conference Associates/NY Business Group) The Member Benefits Committee provides information and assistance with insurance and other services for Chamber members. They attend annual meetings and keep abreast of the current laws and trends, then report back to the Board of Directors to keep our members informed.

BROOKHAVEN CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE COALITION COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSON: Marc Parente (Nationwide Insurance) The Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce Coalition is comprised of approximately 20 Chambers located in the Town of Brookhaven. By participating, Chambers are able to stay informed about what is going on in the business world of Brookhaven. This Committee also provides an avenue for the Chambers to keep the Coalition up to date on events taking place in their respective organizations and provide an ongoing means of networking.

BUSINESS PROMOTION COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSON: Lori Belmonte (The Colony Shop) This Committee assists in promoting the Patchogue area and the businesses within, making Patchogue a more active and fun place to shop and visit. The Business Promotion Committee has implemented many successful events, such as Breakfast with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, July Sidewalk Sale Days, August Sale Days, Halloween Happenings and other monthly promotions to support our members.

BYLAWS COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSON: Harold Trabold (Dranitzke, Lechtrecker, Trabold & Johnson) The function of this Committee is to review and recommend revisions to the Chamber Bylaws and propose these revisions to the Board of Directors when necessary.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSON: Harold Trabold (Dranitzke, Lechtrecker, Trabold & Johnson) The Finance Committee develops the proposed financial budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

HISPANIC BUSINESS LEADERS GROUP

CHAIRPERSON: Barbara Guerra (Dahlia Fashions) Patchogue is thankful to be a very diverse community including a large Hispanic population. This Committee is meant to bring all the Hispanic business leaders together for better representation within our Chamber.

MARKETING COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSON: Melissa Kuehnle (St. Joseph’s College) The Marketing Committee publicizes the efforts and events of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, Inc. through press releases, print and radio advertising, social media and media alerts. The Marketing Committee manages the Chamber’s presence on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter through the official accounts for the Chamber and its events. Subcommittees of the Marketing Committee focus on the Chamber’s website to keep the site current, navigable and accurate, and produce, edit and sell advertising for the Discover Patchogue Magazine.

MIDNIGHT ON MAIN ST. COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSON: Gerry Crean (Civic Member) Midnight on Main St. is a New Year’s Eve celebration that includes the rising of an illuminated ball and live entertainment to ring in the new year. This Committee works to promote the event, raise funds for the entertainment and provide the necessary support to bring an event that includes thousands of attendees to fruition. Committee members collaborate with Patchogue Village, BID and public officials to make sure that all aspects run smoothly.

NETWORKING COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSON: Kathy Fallon (L.I. Against Domestic Violence) The Networking Committee is responsible for planning the Chamber’s monthly networking and general meetings. These functions are important events for promoting your business and services. These meetings are where new and essential business contacts can be made.

RESTAURANT COMMITTEE

CHAIRPERSONS: James Bonnano (The Tap Room) and Eric Rifkin (Bobbique) The Restaurant Committee works together to create beneficial community events and promote those events to patrons.
